Ft St John -    The Province of BC announced today in the speech from the throne that it will be pursuing a new Northern Energy Corridor from Prince Rupert to Prince George. The details will come when the budget is delivered in the house next week. Now whether that means the go ahead for the Kemano Completion may come,  is not known.

At the same time the speech from the throne announced that more work will be done in the Site C dam project along the Peace River near Ft St John.

The construction of the new dam has been steeped in controversy

What? We might actually DO something to achieve results in increasing our energy output from already used systems?

About damned time.

Isn't there anyplace else the Fraser delta can get more power from?
Now come the north is important when it comes to supplying energy and parks for the Fraser delta and ignored on everything else?

The north certainly isn't very important when it comes to numbers of MLA's. Clearly the north should only contribute the amount of energy and raw goods to the enconomy of BC in a direct ratio to our number of government representation.
Victoria wants what we have in the northern parts of B.C.
They just don't want the people who live up here to be part of the package because
we don't control very well, and we are generally far too vocal!
They really hate that in government!
Site C should never be allowed to go ahead.
That part of the province is one of the most beautiful areas we have.
Wind power is the only way to go.
