Stadium Renaming Overdue

Well "better late than never" it must be said in the recognition of Tom Masich for his 50 years of dedication to this community in track and field. 

The Stadium will be renamed Masich Place come October 15th. 

Tom is 69 and believe me, in those 69 years he has never been afraid to pick up the phone and tell it the way it is. 

He called my old open line program on occasion. He knows his stuff and he knows it well in particular the track and field scene in this region. 

So finally someone has made the move that should have come long ago. 

Tom, to you and your family, you are most deserving of this honor. 

The residents of this community have always viewed the place as Masich stadium; finally your dues are being paid. 

You are a credit to not only this city but this region for what you have brought to our people.
