The UNBC women’s basketball team may have lost, but it was only by 3 points which means they’ll finish higher than they ever have before in the BC College Athletic Association. The Lady Timberwolves dropped a 68-65 decision to UBC Okanagan. UBC-O needed to win by more than 6 points to claim second place. UNBC will now get a bye in the first round of provincials which they will host February 27^th to March 1^st at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre. The news didn’t turn out as well for the UNBC men. They lost 78-72 to UBC-O. Combined with a pair of wins by Capilano College means the UNBC men will miss the playoffs, even though it will be in their own gym.
