Prince George, B.C. - Now that the threat of flooding from the ice jams on the Nechako River is over, the City has moved into Recovery stage.

In the report to Council , Tom Madden, Director of Leisure Services and  Recovery  Director  reports there are  at least two categories for "recovery":

City of Prince George Corporate Recovery: Which  calls for the reconstruction of of critical  infrastructure and the re-establishment of  services like utilities, roads, buildings etc.

Community Recovery:   actions to limit losses, reduce suffering and restore the psycho-social and economic  viability of the community.

The recovery Task Force  will work independantly from the Emergency Operations Committee and the Emergency Social Services.

Recovery costs are also  eligible for  reimbursement from the Provincial Emergency program.

Potholes count as "critical infrastructure"? Everyone at city hall get a memo to take home and ordered to stand in front of a mirror and repeat that word ad nauseum? Infrastructure. Infrastructure. Infrastructure?
Psycho-social viability? Where do these city hall folk come up with these words? Access to Scientology books? Does a crack addict have a psycho-social problem?
