Stay away from that round about (traffic circle)idea you'll regret it. They used to have those in Victoria back in the 50-60's and they caused nothing but grief.
Roundabouts work. I hate traffic lights, there should be more under/over passes, and roundabouts. In terms of traffic flow, those three save vast amounts of: time, fuel, maintenance and repair costs to roadways and signals. It' a "Greener" way.
metalman.
Round abouts on a bridge that is going to attract an above average amount of tractor trailers. Somebody made a wrong judgement call.
Idiots, do you know how many trucks will have to go through those circles. Circles are good for regular traffic but not trucks.
people look at size of the circle, with that span you could turn a 747. This is the most reasonable approach possible with the terrain conditions. Associated Engineering did a good job on the design in my opinion.
No shit, sorry, I thought it would be obvious that roundabouts come in all sizes.
Go green or go home
Just in time for the Mare and a photo op for our election this fall. Eleven million, it will be interesting to see what the bids will come in at. The cup 8s half full.

Cheers
I'm just curious Bridge, are you referring to a brood Mare? tee hee. Most fantastic photo opportunity, you are right! Look here, denizens of BC's Northern Capital! see what we have done for you!

Looks fine to me. Hopeful that the trucks stay off 5th and Carney once completed.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!
They will only stay off Carney and Fifth going towards the bridge. Building this bridge keeps them going through Carney and Fifth from Pulp Mill Road and River Road.

The trucks need to be on a ring road out of the City. This bridge only delays that happening
Massively good point, Foo.
metalman.
No, no metalman a brood mare is a very valuable animal. I am however thinking of the south end of a mare going north.
I actually like roundabouts, but big trucks are a bit of a problem on them from what I have seen.
As long as it is big enough,I would think it should be fine.
ANYTHING is better than the way things are now!
