The Prince George Spruce Kings missed a grand opportunity on Friday night at home. Thanks to a scheduling problem with the Sun wave Centre in Salmon Arm the Spruce Kings hosted the first game of their opening round playoff series with the Silverbacks. The Kings could not take advantage even though they did everything they could, but score. The Kings had double the shots on goal the Silverbacks did (42-21), but they came up on the wrong end of the score board 5-2. Prince George now has their work cut out for them as they play the next two games of the best of five series in Salmon Arm. Game two goes Sunday night at 8:00. Game three is Monday. If the Kings can win atleast one of those games they will have game four on home ice on Tuesday.
