Vanderhoof Rancher Maintains Bull That Tested Positive For TB Not Hers
By 250 News
Vanderhoof, B.C.- Lynn Weinhardt, the rancher who the CFIA says owned the bull that tested positive for TB, says she remains at a loss as to how they have determined that it was her Bull that tested positive for TB.
"I still say that was not the bull that came from our farm that eventually showed up in Quebec where it tested as having TB."Lynn Weinhardt says , "We just thought you might be interested to know now that the CFIA has now killed all our animals, cows, pigs, goats, llama, and sheep, now they are now going to DNA test that original bull to see if it actually came from our ranch. They say that is because the bull was not tagged in our facilities, which we told them all along where it was tagged if it was actually our bull."
Weinhardt also says the CFIA say they have traced the parentage of her bull back to its berth herd , but she says in actual fact after talking to the original owners of her bull, they had only traced the bull to its herd of origin.
In the meantime a number of farms who had been placed on Quarantine following the report the bull from the Weinhardt family had been tested positive have been removed from the list, while others have had the quarantine period extended in the Vanderhoof region.
