Prince George, BC  - An elderly Norwood St resident was treated and released from hospital last night after a young woman knocked on her door and asked if she could use the phone. When the woman opened the door,  two masked males entered the residence , striking her with a wrench. One of the suspects went into the bedroom seeking money and valuables while the other continued to attack the woman.

A police dog pursuit failed to pick up the track of the suspects who are described as between 14-18 years of age, dark hair, possibly native and a second suspect who is described as a native male.

Police remind people to be very cautious about letting strangers into their homes.

Perhaps elderly people will have to start keeping pit bulls in their homes...they don't let go until the police arrives, I'm told.
Hmm these lil bastards needed to be met with a handgun.....beat with a bat, then held for the RCMP to haul them away.
YES to all of the above
But NO Police
No Witnesses
Glad she's ok and those involved will get what they deserve in one way or another. Have to leave those doors shut and locked.
AK-47 The tool of choice
How cowardly.
How bad is it that you can't even answer your door anymore? I have come to be suspicious of everyone. And the cowards always seem to attack the elderly. How pathetic.
More crack addicts.
Never open the door to anyone who one does not know.

This, of course, is bad for those who are in desperate need of assistance and for those who have a very legitimate reason to knock on your door!

"How bad is it that you can't even answer your door anymore?"

Very bad, and how sad that one has to have an active alarm system (always on) and bars on doors and windows!

Time for a complete overhaul of society! Better an end with terror than terror without an end.

Click BANG,BANG. Make sure to fire the warning shot last.
Native? Native male? Hmmm? Seems the teaching of honesty and compassion by their elders kinda fell by the wayside.
People like these are the absolute lowest of scum on the pecking order. They are actually beneath scum. There is no fate our justice system could administer that would be acceptable.
The old VLA again- (violent living area)
Justice system? Hey pal, I hear the sentencing circle might work. It is to laff if it wasn't so sad.
Advise to the wise:

1) KEEP YOUR DOOR LOCKED AT ALL TIMES
2) INSTALL PEEPHOLE
3) ENSURE YOU HAVE ADEQUATE OUTSIDE LIGHTING
4) DON'T OPEN YOUR DOOR TO STRANGER
5) YOU CAN TELL PERSON TO WAIT AND MAKE THE EMERGENCY CALL FOR THEM
6) IF IN DOUBT, CALL POLICE

Friends used to say I was paranoid for doing this. Now they say it is probably the best way to stay safe. However, on occasion, it has annoyed the pizza guy, newspaper delivery person and the odd neighbour! They DO understand the minor inconvenience though.

Stay safe, know your neighbours, and keep emergency numbers handy!
