Prince George, B.C.-  The search  is on for a fiery object spotted over Prince George.

Callers tell Opinion 250   that just before 1:00 this morning, a large object with a fiery tail crossed over the city in a northwest direction. One caller says truckers were on their radios saying they thought it was a plane of some sort.

“It was more orange than red,  streaking across the sky,  I only saw it for a few seconds,  and it  was heading towards Huble homestead.”

Our caller  says  if it was a meteor, or space junk “It’s a pretty big one, ‘cause this was a large object”

At the time of this posting, there had been no reports of missing planes.  A spokesman from the Air and Marine Emergency Centre, Department of National Defence,  says there are no  missing planes,  although they have received numerous reports from the north of  fiery sightings .  A spokesman  says he can only speculate that it was a large meteor in the sky over Prince George.

There have been reports of the fireball called in from Kamloops through to Dawson Creek.

A meteor that is burning up fairly close appears red. Orange is next. Closer yet: yellow. A white one means it is very close. In 2004, Seattle was lit up in the middle of the night by one. I saw one of the latter in the Lower Mainland, about 1972. It was shocking but as I didn't hear an impact, it was likely totally burned up. On occasion a very large meteor will pass through the atmosphere without burning up. One of same passed by Empire Stadium during a football game in the 'fifties, and then proceeded back into space after scaring 20,000 people.
I saw it. A meteor makes sense because the tail was traveling at the same velocity as the rest of what ever it was. If it was a plane the flames would have dropped from the plane? It looked close (although not moving superfast), so I wouldn't be surprised if an impact site was found north of town somewhere.
Yah' like Dawson Creek.
I saw this at about 12:30am!

It was awesome. Have never seen anything like it. I looked out my living room windows here in Kamloops and saw it for at least 10 seconds as it traveled west to east, then disappeared behind the hills.

I was north of me.

Big fiery orange ball with a long trail. in the trail I could see smaller pieces burning up. This thing was BIG!

I wanted to grab my camera so bad but I knew I would not have time. Sucks.
Thats right I saw the smaller clumpy pieces as well. It reminded me at the time of the star trek thing when the ship goes to warp speed and leaves those lines with a large object in the lead followed by smaller clumps in the stream stretching what looked like a 1/4 mile or more depending on how far away it actually was.
We watched also..was big. The tail looked neat like a big white sparkler it sure lasted long. No sonic boom.
Hi Posters

I received one report this morning on the object that was seen over the PG area, I am very interested to hear from anyone else who witnessed this as the data is so very important to me and my work. I am the director of HBCC UFO Research, my name is Brian Vike and I reside in Houston B.C. If any of the folks who saw this object would you please file a report as to what was seen. You can email me directly at hbccufo@telus.net Or you are welcome to go through my website at http://www.hbccufo.org Also like to plot the information to see where abouts the object was seen from and to.

Thank you, Brian.
Quick, put on your tin foil hats!
It was kevin1006's space craft. He's coming here to educate us on our destructive ways.
I thought he was raising us for food, coming in low to check out the herd.
