Prince George -  A 22 year old male is in custody after a man entered the liquor store at 5th and Ospika Sunday night. As he entered the inner doors he pulled a toque over his head alerting a clerk that he may be about to commit a robbery.
The clerk then activated the security doors, which prevented the man from either entering or exiting the store.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after and arrested him

Viva the quick-thinking clerk!
he he Bet the idiot would-be thief never expected that. I would love to have seen the expression on the wbthief's face after he realized he's literally caught between two doors.
Here's a funny one - How not to rob a liquor store:

But compliments to the owner who installed such a system ! There should be more systems like that installed.
Betcha the alledged robber is out on the street allready.
Criminals should only be locked in jails not stores. What's the world coming to?
To bad they never left him on public display for 2 or 3 days.
It would be nice to see more business owners take such responsibility for their employee's safety. I like the idea of leaving him there for awhile.
although I'm not sure "touque on head" by itself is an indictable offence in Canada.....
Good system...but what can they charge him with?
"although I'm not sure "touque on head" by itself is an indictable offence in Canada....."

Exactly. What exactly is this man guilty of?

Hopefully from here on out beer won't need to be pre-paid ;)
Masking your identity is an offence and the act of pulling a toque over your face when entering a liqour store, I think, establishes intent to commit. Just guessing...
"What exactly is this man guilty of?"

Looking extremely stupid, for one thing !
Masking yer identity is an offence? Better tell the cops and the government of Ontario when it comes to the Caledonia stand off.
Boy, the store owner had best be careful. They might be charged with restricting the movement of a poor soul that was yelled at during his childhood. I like the idea of leaving him on display for a week or two.
