Site  which will be  expanding towards Hartway Road to allow  for wrecking yard use

Prince George, B.C. -  The owners of  a wrecking yard on Hartway Drive have been  given permission to  expand their wrecking yard to the  front portion of their property.  This follows a public hearing at Prince George City Council. 

There are some conditions:

a)Wrecking yard uses not  contained within a building shall be bounded on  all sides by a solid screen not less than 2.5  m in height and not more than  3.0 m in height.

b)The maximum height for any wrecking yard use, not enclosed within a building, is the height of the solid screen which surrounds it, but in no case shall the wrecking yard use be higher than 3 m above the natural grade .

Well, they have to go somewhere, of course they have been there for a few years now anyway. Too bad it is within view of the main highway. It just continues to add to our city's image, to people passing through.

yes it does continue to add to our city's image, by making it fenced so it is not visible to traffic. Shows our city cares.
Not like some cities I've driven through where there is no such restrictions.
Small business cannot be forced to move adding huge expenses which they cannot afford.
