Load Restrictions in Place

The City of Prince George has served notice  there are load restrictions on  the some city roads,  The restrictions took effect Friday March 21st.

50% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:
• Hartman Road
• Jutland Road
• Leslie Road, from Blackwater Road to Haldi Lake Road
• Foreman Road
• Swanson Road, and all roads west of the Beger/Swanson Intersection
• Cranbrook Hill Road, from Melmack Crescent to Otway Road
• Goose Country Road

70% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:
• All unpaved roads within the City of Prince George
• All roads west of Westgate Avenue, on the north and south sides of Highway 16 West, except as mentioned at 50% and 100%
• All roads east of Queensway between and including Regents Crescent and LaSalle Avenue (permanent restriction)
• All roads east of Old Cariboo Highway and south of Hwy 16 East
• Cranbrook Hill Road, from Foothills Blvd to Melmack Crescent
• All roads connecting to Cranbrook Hill Road, except as mentioned at 50%
• Hoferkamp Road
• Aberdeen Road, and all roads connecting to Aberdeen
• Old Summit Lake Road and all roads connecting except as mentioned at 50%
• All roads north of and including Chief Lake Road and west of Highway 97 North, except as mentioned at 50% and 100%
• All roads north of E.Austin Road and east of Highway 97 North except as mentioned at 50% and 100%
• North Kelly Road and all roads connecting to North Kelly
• Landooz Road and all roads connecting Landooz

100% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:
• Blackwater Road
• Foothills Boulevard
• Woodvalley Drive
• Woodoak Crescent
• Meadowgate Subdivision
• Marleau Road from Hwy 16 to Southridge
• All other paved roads within the City of Prince George, except as mentioned at 50% and 70%

Some people will have to go on a diet, others will only be able to transport 1 case of beer home at a time.

I plan to fill my washer fluid only halfway, and take out the spare tire.
I wonder who will be enforcing the restrictions. The R.C.M.P do not carry scales, I don't think anyone on the city staff is trained to weigh commercial traffic so I guess maybe it will be the honour system. LOL Good Luck!!!!

There are portable scales operated by D.O.T throughout the region.
Yes there is Portable Scales in the area but they do not enforce on city streets. Not their juristriction.
