Dunphy Wins Electoral Area F By Election

Prince George, B.C. - Preliminary results indicate that Kevin Dunphy will be joining the Board of Directors for the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George after topping the polls in today’s by-election for Electoral Area F (Willow River-Upper Fraser).

The preliminary results are as follows

Michael Bayley 4 votes

Kevin Dunphy 189 votes

James Michael Pavich 27 votes

Marie Zenzen 94 votes

TOTAL VOTES 314

The position fills the remainder of a three year term and will expire in December 2008. The communities of Foreman, Shelley, Willow River, Giscome, Upper Fraser, Sinclair Mills, Longworth and Penny are located within Electoral Area F, representing a population of just over 1300 people.

It is anticipated that Director-Elect Kevin Dunphy will be sworn in the week of April 14.
