The Cariboo Cougars bid to be the national midget champions came to an end in Calgary today. The Cougars lost 3-1 to the Alberta champs in the third and deciding game in the Pacific qualifier. The Cougars managed to get it to a third and final game by winning last night in triple overtime. Today they fell behind 1-0 after the second. Calgary made it 2-0 in the second before the Cougars pulled to within one, but the Buffaloes added an empty netter to punch their ticket to the Telus Cup in Ontario.
