Spirit of the North Day Raises More than $2 Million

Prince George, B.C. -  The  Spirit of the North Day, a five hour recognition  event and fundraiser for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation  has wrapped up with  just over $2.3 million dollars in pledges.

Spirit of the North  Foundation  Executive Director David Wharrie says  the 8th annual  Spirit of the North Day was a success “We are delighted to recognize so many members of the community who have come together to show their support. Donations came from all sectors, including individuals, small businesses, service organizations and corporations.”

Some of the larger donations include:

  • Auxiliary to PGRH $119,375
  • Brent and Kali Marshall and Family, $100,000
  • P.G. FireFighters $73,000
  • Guro Gobind Singh Temple Association $47,000
  • Costco Wholesale $40,999

The final tally was $2,304,836
