6 Year old Hayley Pederson shows off the 15.5 " pony tail she had cut off
Prince George, B.C. - Six year old Hayley Pederson made a sacrifice this weekend for others.
At a public event at the Pine Centre Mall, Hayley donated 15.5 inches of her thick brown locks, to “Cuts for Cancer”.

Her hair will be used to make wigs for children undergoing chemo therapy. Hayley’s effort also raised $1400.00 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
The idea to cut her hair and donate it,was Hayley's and she was encouraged by her sister to follow it through and raise money to go along with the donated hair.
It took quite a while to get the scissors through her thick hair, and while Hayley seemed to enjoy the whole experience, her mom,Carleen wasn't taking it so easily.

Hayley says she likes her new haircut, and wouldn't mind growing it out again for another cut in the future.
