STRONG Session In Ft. St. James Tonight

Prince George, B.C. - Tonight,  the first of three meetings  about how to fight mill closures  and save communities in the  face of  the  troubled forest industry, will  be held in Ft. St. James.

All Simard, the President of Saving The Region of Ontario North Group (STRONG) will  share his group's  strategy to save resource communities and take control over policy  which impacts the  resource towns.

Simard arrived in Prince George last night.

The meeting this evening  takes place  in Ft St. James at  7 p.m. at the Fort St. James Campus of the College of New Caledonia on Douglas Avenue.

Tomorrow, Simard will be in Prince George, that session will take place in room  1-306 at the Prince George Campus of the College of New Caledonia, at 7:00.

Wednesday,  Simard will be in Mackenzie,  where the session will take place at the Alexander Mackenzie Hotel in the Explorer Room, again the  time is 7:00 p.m.

Should be interesting,well worth attending.
Ok,I went and had a listen.
They didn't know what the polulation of Fort St.James actually was, or how many were unemployed.
Nothing new that people didn't already know,and kind of felt a lot like a union meeting bashing the company.
Same old anti-government rhetoric.
Mainly talked about what a bunch of liars the government was and how bad they will screw us over and sell off our resources.
We already know that.
