The Hummers Are Back , Is It Spring

Well Is Spring finally here? Thanks for the tip, Horst Sander, who was visiting a friend on Bench Dr. Friday when they saw a little hummer.

April 25^th would make it the latest that I have had a report of humming birds arriving from the south . April 23^rd had been the latest, the earliest that we have them reported was on April 7^th, back in the early 80’s

So does this mean you can finally say that spring has arrived, they seem to have an uncanny ability to predict when they should arrive and even if they don’t they sure are pretty and they make you feel awfully good.

I spent the entire day doing yard work yesterday, too nice a day to stay indoors. Heard so many flocks of geese flying over, always think spring is here when the geese fly. Once heard that the hummingbirds come along with the geese, I don't know if this is credible or an old wives tale!!! Does anyone know something about this???
Regardless yes it's always a good feeling to see the birds return for the summer.

Yes,they (hummingbirds) catch a ride on the backs of geese... didn't you know.
