A 20 year old Prince George youth has been released from custody and will appear at a later date after he was arrested for causing a disturbance at Chances Bingo, and throwing a brick through a car window.

The young man was asked to leave the Bingo Hall by security staff last night,  he became angered and smashed the entrance door by throwing a landscape brick through it. He then fled down the street , but not before he tossed another brick at a car window.

He was located by police hiding in bushes and after a foot chase was arrested and held in the cells over night.

If anyone else suffered damage to their vehicle they are asked to contact police.

I don't mean to nit-pick, but shouldn't that be a 20 year old Prince George MAN not youth? Even though he's acting like a youth........at 20, you're technically no longer considered to be a youth.
When did throwing a brick through a car window become a "disturbance"?
sounds like vandalism to me!
yes, youth my foot....
Two cases of vandalism, actually. Now, how did society go wrong this time? After all, it's usually never the fault of the perpetrator but always the fault of society, meaning: us.

Looks like the nice landscaping (congratulations, Mr. Major!) may have to be modified (removed?) if the bricks can be used as weapons of destruction...

from the canada safety council website
"Gambling addiction is also linked to a range of other serious personal and social harms such as bankruptcy, family breakup, domestic abuse, assault, fraud, theft and even homelessness."
I don't know why that stupid establishment was put downtown...I was there this morning after taking my 4 yr old to swimming lessons at the 4 seasons. Yup, I counted 4 vagrants walking up 7th avenue. another great thing for down town. Oh, and on another occassion I was climbing the stairs to the pool w/ my youngster and there was some youth smoking something suspicious out of a pipe right beside it and they didn't even blink an eye. That side of down town always seemed to be fine, not anymore, and my guess it is because of the scummy gambling establishment. Downtown PG is a lost cause. I am going to avoid it at all costs!
"I don't know why that stupid establishment was put downtown..."
thats a twist-blaming tha gaming centre for vagrants and someone smoking dope or whatever. Yep, it never ocurred before the place was built!!??
It did, but I have never seen it on that side of town before...perhaps it is a coincidence, but that side of town seems scummier now...Wasn't the Treasure cove enough gambling for a place the size of PG. At least it was put out of town w/ a hotel, it makes sense.
ROBICHAL...the bingo hall has always been downtown! and there have always been "vagrants" along the 4 seasons pool...especially in the summer.
It ain't against the law to be a vagrant. Mr. Trudeau got rid of that law because his logic stated that it shouldn't be against the law to be poor. Thanks PET. And I hope the paint leaves a stain.
It also isn't against the law to smoke pot.
I think it is against the law to smoke pot in public places...and crack...

Ok, I guess you guys did put me in my place about the bingo hall - you are correct...I am wrong...but it still was a gigantic waste of tax payers $$$ to build such a building for BINGO!!! I admit it...I don't play bingo or gamble, so I am definitely NOT objective, but you must admit this building is a bit excessive for a bingo hall. I thought bingo was played in community centres?
