Mounties Award Ceremony Today

Prince George, B.C. – There will be a sea of red serge flowing at the Coast Inn of the North in Prince George later this morning.

North District RCMP are holding their annual awards ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner, Gary Bass Commanding Officer of “E Division” (British Columbia) will be on hand for the ceremony.

Twenty three regular members, Civilian Members and public servants from throughout the north will receive awards for long service, three regular members will receive their Officer’s Commissions.

I think rather than giving awards they should focus on trying to clean this city up...
By the above remarks I wonder that the RCMP bother with Prince George and instead holds its' colourful celebrations elsewhere in the Province where they could be appreciated.
Given what appears to be the worsening crime situation in PG Foo738,you really can't blame people for being cynical.

The Mountie who never tazered deserves a reward. Now IMO that deserves recognition.
