Another Voice Lost

He may not have had his show carried in this region for some time, but Rafe Mair of New 600 radio, had his contract bought out last week at the radio station.

According to reports it was an amicable departure, Mair they felt, had not been getting the kind of ratings that they wanted so rather than carry the show until next fall, they would simply pay him out.

Radio 600 is part of the Jim Pattison radio network.

Mair has been a talk show host in the lower mainland for many years after leaving provincial politics during the Socred days of Bill Bennett.

Mair did not comment on his departure fromn the airwaves.
