Prince George, B.C. – The Northern Undergraduates Student Centre at UNBC will have a its own pub “Shenanigans” will be open from 11:00 to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and closing at 11p.m. on Sundays.

The licensing of this new, yet to be built pub, means  the Wintergarden at the University will give up its liquor license. The capacity for Shenanigans is 125, which is the same as outlined on the existing license for the Wintergarden.

Prince George City Council supports the idea of the pub.  Councilor Don Zurowski  said he thought the pub was "On spot, and will improve the post secondary experience in Prince George."

What? The Wintergarden is finally giving up their liquor licence? The have only been closed for almost 2 years! I can't wait for the pub!
So who is building the pub? Who owns the pub? Who gets the profits? Should be popular for those on site who don't have to come all the way downtown for a brew. Chester
IDL Projects Inc. is building the pub in the old fitness area. The racket ball courts are being renovated in to an events space and have moveable wall between the pub as to accomodate concerts etc..
As well there is a large amount of office space and meeting rooms being built.
The radio station gets a new space as well.
Perhaps I will see you there in July when it is completed Chester.
On spot? Donny, I think you need some new material. Get a writer for the election, will you?
metalman.
Chester - the pub is going to be in the student union building that is being built where the old fitness centre was (near the Canfor lecture theatre). It is going to be run by NUGGS, the student society at the University and thus I guess will be run by students and profit NUGGS.
Nothing like a few brews every night to light up the brain and help these students get through their studies and exams.

Do you think we could get an area for pot smoking????
How much for a glass of beer in the new pub? How many are they going to sell? Use those statistics as a defence when the students start protesting about their tuition. Seems fair. Priorities, folks. They're easy. But not for Mr. Dion apparently.
