Thursday, May 15, 2008 03:58 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The Regional District of Fraser Fort George meets today and will look at setting aside money for a corporate climate change plan.
Also on the agenda, a new bylaw that would put some rules to windmills. As wind turbines as being proposed for electricity generation, the Regional District wants to make sure there is something in place to address safety issues.
There will be a report on the dollars paid out to Directors in 2007. That tally includes expenses.
The matter of region wide mutual aid returns. That is the matter that would see fire response from one area, pitching in to help another in the event of an emergency. There were questions about liability raised during the last session.
On another, somewhat similar matter, there will be a report on the Region Wide emergency response and recovery plan.
At 3:00 in the Regional District Board room, Director Denis Gendron will have his head shaved in a effort to raise funds for the new Northern Cancer Clinic.
