If anybody fell for that con they are unfortunate and unwise. Even more unwise is the "representative" of the security company. Come on buddy!! A hoody?? You better go back to selling other, less legal forms of consumer products. Here's a tip. Go rent "Fletch". It might inspire you to be more resourcefull on your attire the next time you plan on casing out someone's house.

Happy planting everyone :)
sounds like this fella is about to be gainfully employed, a question the R.C.M.P. used to ask vagrants and ner do wells that were hanging around, they don't even bother anymore as the system just turns em loose. I do have my own security system that i'd be proud to tell these bums about, first theres a sign on my gate warning not to stray off the beaten path to the house cause there is several bear traps set along the way, second my rotwieler "fang' is on guard and he is hungary for raw meat, then theres the size 13 boots on the porch, and if he gets pass that the poision darts should down em , i hate to use the 44 magnum as its so messy yup officer i was just cleaning up some trash and it went off all by itself!
I like the idea of leaving size 13 boots outside the front door. I think I'll scout out a pair at the swapshed and do just that. Maybe leave a few empty shot gun shells about too.
If that doesn't deter them my "fang" a very agile mini daschund will be hanging off whatever part of their anatomy he can jump to reach and sink his teeth into, he can jump about 3' straight up. He makes some of the menfolk in my neighbourhood a tad uneasy when he tips his head and appears to be measuring how far he'll have to spring.
The lumber yard in 108 Mile sells cement markers 50, 100, 150 they are about 8" across - I think they are supposed to be for golf course distance markers, but I've always thought they'd be good for sighting in range too.
