Man Poses as Security Company Employee

Prince George, B.C. - Residents are being warned not to give out information about their home security systems to anyone.
RCMP say Saturday afternoon, a suspicious man, claiming to be an employee of a security company was asking Westgate residents about their security systems. The suspect also offered a deal a on a new security system. Police say this is particularly suspicious as the security company was t conducting door to door business this long weekend.
The suspect is described as a mixed race, about 25 years old, with dark skin tone, darker eyes, 6’2”, about 200 lbs and was wearing a grey hooded sweater and light-coloured shorts.
Police conducted patrols in the area but were not able to locate the suspect.
Police say residents should never disclose information about their security systems or whether or not they use them, to people who approach their homes. If you have any concerns about people claiming to be security company employees, contact your security company directly to verify their employment before allowing them inside your home or disclosing any information.
If you suspect a crime is n progress, contact police immediately.
