Prince George, B.C. – Later today, the plans for the new Duchess Park School will be unveiled and the winner of the bid to build the Crescents area High School will be announced.

One thing is already known, the winner of the bid will be one with a local presence. The two finalists for the project were Giffels Partnerships Solutions Inc / IDL projects, and Western Industrial Contractors.

The project is expected to cost about $25 million dollars, and the design will include some sort of recognition of the King George V school  which was demolished to make way for the new Duchess Park.

Ground breaking is expected in June, and the school is supposed to be ready for classes in te middle of the 2009/2010 school year.
