Prince George, B.C. - One male is in custody and faces numerous charges following the theft of a truck overnight.
A home owner in the 2600 block of 15th Avenue watched a person steal his 1995 Ford truck around 3:00 this morning. The homeowner immediately called police. A police officer patrolling the Carney Street area, spotted the vehicle and followed it out on to Highway 16 west.
Another officer was in the area of Haldi Road and waited for the truck to head that way. When the truck failed to pull over for the Haldi Road officer, police deployed a spike belt.
The truck was disabled, no one hurt and a 26 year old male was taken into custody.
