Known to police...Same story..Same RATS. When will the system start to deal with this dog and pony show?
When will this system let the people deal with this dog and pony show?
I would bet my last $$$ that these scums will be on the street in no time - laughing at the canadian justice system, or lack of...Who are they targeting to get addicted? Young girls? We should be like the USA and these people would lucky to see the light of day in the next 20 - 30 yrs...get them off the street and out of mainstream society!!! They ruin lives!
True Robichal they ruin lives, however the gov allows it because it provdes a very good living for all the lawyers of the province/country. They allow these scumbags to ruin lives so they can keep milking the system of our tax dollars. Lawyers-politicians, politicians-lawyers.They are one in the same.
Who do you think makes up these wonderful laws that cater to criminals, all the politicians and their lawyer pals.
Imagine where all the lawyers would get their money from if we actually locked the scum of our planet up and threw away the keys. I don't believe the gov would ever jeopordize the incomes of the lawyers in the country, do you?
A provincial court judge dismissed charges Friday against an Abbotsford man whose brothers are facing similar charges in a more recent incident.

Jonathan Bacon, 27, along with Rayleene Burton and Godwin Cheng, faced 15 drug and weapons charges related to a stash of drugs, guns and money police say they found in Bacon's Abbotsford home in 2005. Provincial Court Judge Donald Gardiner threw out all 15 charges against the three accused, ruling police did not have the grounds to obtain a search warrant when they made the drug bust.

Gardiner said allowing the evidence would bring the administration of justice into disrepute.

Bacon's brothers, Jarrod Bacon, 25, and James Bacon, 22, were arrested May 31 on numerous weapons charges. They each face nine counts of firearms-related charges and are jointly charged with 15 additional firearms offenses.

At the time of the arrests, police issued a warning to the public and family members about the brothers, saying it could be dangerous to associate with the two men.

Jamie and Jarrod Bacon are in police custody awaiting a bail hearing June 10.

Here is the revolving door. I wonder if that judge was paid off?
Robichal, why should we be like the U.S.? Does their policy prevent druggies from effecting the lives of ordinary citizens? Are they better off than us? Is their crime rate lower than ours? They have the highest prison populations in the world, massive crime and drug problems, and dangerous ghettos where service and utility workers need police escorts to do their jobs.
Does that sound like good drug policy?
I don't think we should emulate anything the US does. There are many more countries around the world we could look to for examples.
The US is a dysfunctional country populated with wonderful, poorly informed, people.
Sadly, we're getting to be more like them everyday.
Refocus,

the motive for this like any other business is to make money. Their short coming is concern about repeat customers as they have a captive market.

Society must recognize this and adjust the system to remove the profit motive.

Oh yes robichal, the American system is working out sooo well. They have the highest rate of people in prison in the world! This is what you want for Canada? It's still amazes me after all these years that so many still don't get it: Alcohol is causing the most problems and this can be proven with hard data and yet the denial continues. Why? Because the people that complain the loudest drink. The real enemy is hypocrisy, not crack.
Kevin 1006, I would take a hypocrit living next door to me than have a crack house and the problems related with it.
I have a few thoughts;
Restitution based penalties.
Hard labour prisons.
Self sufficent prison.

How about a $20,000 fine for anyone who buys the stuff which these crackheads steal and sell. No market--no money--less crackheads perpetuating this assault against ordinary people.

We have the nicest prison system that a criminal could want, that place human rights of prisoners above that of the ordinary citizen.

We can have the nicest judges anyone criminal wants, and no we shouldn't have to spend 100 grand a year on these scum while they watch TV.
I vote for a recycling plant to be built adjacent to each prison and the worst people go to the front of the line--where the diapers are removed first.
Justice, restitution, deterant and funded by the criminals themselves.
Works for me.
