Prince George, B.C. - A mediator  enters the  contract dispute today between the City of Prince George, and  Cupe locals 399 and 1048.

The 600 unionized workers have been without a contract since the end of December.  The  final  offer from the City was rejected in  mid May.  An attempt to  resume  discussions and  work out a new agreement  last week, failed.

Cupe remains optimisitic a mediator will be able to resolve the matter.

Is it the money? Silly me!

Give CUPE whatever they want, otherwise they will take revenge on the people of this town until they get what they want. Doesn't the mediator know that we are hostages, and that you don't make hostage takers mad?
Is cupe a word? I thought it stood for Canadian Union of Public Employees - who edits this stuff - which would stand for C.U.P.E.
Speaking of that, who is Mediator In? Is that Mr. In or Ms In? .... perhaps Dr. In?

;-)
LOL owl!
