CNC Wraps 07-08 School Year with Positive Numbers

Prince George, B.C. – The College of New Caledonia says the past school year was a success. Enrolment was up 7.6% to 3438.
 
The largest increase was in health related studies which had a student enrolment increase of 19%. The Trades also saw an increase with a boost of 8% over the previous year.
 
Satellite campuses also saw increases with Vanderhoof showing an increase of 135%, Mackenzie next at 60% and Quesnel up by 41%.
 

The programs showing a decline were business and university transfer.

Good to see an overall increase of enrolment at that level.

It would be interesting to know why. Looks like it might be increased offerings in outlying regions and specific program offering changes.

Wondering whether the student profile has also changed.
