'All participants in the competition were required to wear helmets in order to compete'

Except for the kid in the picture, sliding down the rail in his tennies.
Hey good on opinion to cover some different topics. As popular as this site is getting it would be in their best interest to start reporting on more things like this. At 28 years old things like this are still very intersting to me and definitly news worthy to alot of others as well. Cheers
You know it's pretty irresponsible to even show this picture of the kid without the helmet, especially when the PG Brain Injured Group was in attendance!! Come on now!! My kids and I mountain bike and I am always stressing to them how important it is to wear their helmet at all times, done up properly. It is totally automatic for them now, they put their helmets on just like all their other mtn. bike safety gear. A helmet is only going to save you if it fits properly and the strap is done up!! I have seen kids so many times with helmets on, and the strap dangling down the side....I guess they think it's cool??? Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now.....
