Charges Laid In Quesnel Truck Incident

Quesnel, B.C. - Several charges have been laid in connection with the Canada Day wild ride through Quesnel (see previous story). 
The incident started when a Ford F350 truck took off after being stopped for speeding just north of Quesnel.   The truck proceeded through Quesnel, eventually hitting a Grand Am then flipping and clipping a hydro pole before finally coming to a stop. The driver and passenger were taken to hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Grand Am also suffered minor injuries and was treated and released.
 25 year old Kellin Richard Friesen of Whitehorse has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle causing injury, Fail to stop for a police officer and possession of stolen property. He has been remanded in custody until July 22nd.
The passenger in the stolen Ford F350 truck has been released and will not face any charges.

The penalties should be either be predictable or interesting or, as I suspect easy and maybe probation for their first offence, if they show the judge some fake remorse. Betcha.
