Police To Release Names of Three Killed In West Beaverly Crash

Prince George, B.C. -  RCMP are expected to release the names of the three people who died in a two vehicle crash Saturday night at the intersection of highway 16 and West Beaverly Rd. later this morning. The next of kin have now been notified.

The three were riding a car that crashed into a pickup truck after swerving across the highway. The driver of the pickup was taken to hospital in Prince George with non life threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for about 8 hours while police investigated the accident scene. Two of those who died were thrown from the vehicle on impact.

Police say alcohol and erratic driving may have contributed to the crash.

There have been unconfirmed reports the three victims  are teenagers from  the Burns Lake area.
