Prince George, B.C. – The weekend thunderstorms sparked three new fires in the Prince George Fire Centre, “All were very small, all less than one hectare” says spokesperson Jillian Chimko.
Chimko says the Windfall Creek fire, southwest of Tumbler Ridge is now in mop up stage “We have 80 firefighters working on clean up and making sure there are no hot spots, but the rain has really been helping.”
The fire danger rating for the region has been downgraded because of the wet weather.
