Seems to be more extended power outages now that I have seen in years.
What gives?
Is it an outdated equipment issue starting to make the infrastructure more fragile than it used to be?
Andyfreeze did you happen to notice just haw severe the storm was.
Sure did seamutt, but no worse than we have had before.
I still think there are more power outages than ever before and they seem to last longer,or it at least seems seems that way.
If that is in fact true,an granted,it may not be,then it would be nice to know if it is old equipment, weather patterns, etc.
Lots of reasons for slow restore time but one of the biggest is BCHydro can't find enough people for the various jobs open. If you know someone who wants to get into the trades, great paying job for a great company ( with the exception of the Accenture part) encourage them to join BC Hydro.

Take a look into the benefits they are giving for moving to remote locations like Chetwynd, Fort St. John, etc.
