Police Look for Assistance In Hit and Run

Prince George, B.C. – RCMP in Prince George are hoping you can help them locate the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run last evening.
Around 6:40 last night, a 17 year old male was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk at Tabor Boulevard and Galinis Avenue in Prince George.
The pedestrian hit the hood and windshield and was thrown off the vehicle onto the street. The driver of the vehicle shouted at the pedestrian to get out of the way or the driver would run over the pedestrian again. The driver made no attempts to assist the injured pedestrian and left the scene.
Police are looking to locate the driver and the vehicle involved in this collision. The driver was described as male with a goatee beard. The vehicle was described as a white two door and was last seen headed towards Otway Road. The vehicle will likely have damage to the front end, hood and windshield, after striking the pedestrian.
The victim was transported by the BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC where he received treatment for his injuries and was released.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing.
The Prince George RCMP would like to remind both drivers and pedestrians to take extra precaution when crossing intersections, especially after sun down.
