Prince George, BC – A witness reports an entire block was cordoned off in the Carter Light Industrial area this morning, while Prince George Fire Rescue dealt with a burning tank containing acetylene.

15 fire fighters from three halls responded to the report of the tank on fire inside RH Jones and Son Mechanical Ltd at 2082 Quinn Street. 

Assistant Fire Chief John Law says the tenants vacated the building safely and fire crews quickly moved the tank outside where it was allowed to burn in a controlled and safe manner.

Law says damage was minimal and there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
