Prince George, B.C.- RCMP have released more information on the home invasion stabbing incident reported earlier.
Police say the two residents ( a 53 year old female and 60 year old man) of the Ingledew home were sleeping when they heard someone knocking on the door around 2:15 this morning. A moment later the back door of the residence was kicked in.
One of the residents reported grabbing a wooden object as they both proceeded to go investigate when they surprised 2 suspects standing in the kitchen of the residence.
The two suspects immediately began to flee the house and were chased outside by the 2 residents. It appears that one of the suspect was then struck by one of the resident with a wooden object. Subsequently to that, one of the resident was stabbed once in the stomach. Both suspects fled the residence on foot with a stolen bottle of liquor taken from the home.
A member of the Prince George RCMP Police Dog Section attended the scene in an attempt to locate the two suspects with negative results.
The stabbed victim was transported by the Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC where treatment was provided for a single puncture wound. The victim was released shortly after.
The two suspects are described as:
· Both approximately 165 cm (5’5”) and 45 kgs (100 lbs)
· Possibly in their 20’s
· Both wearing dark clothing – possibly hoodies with dark pants
The investigation is ongoing.
The Prince George RCMP would like to advise the public of the following tips:
- If you are at home while a Break and Enter is in progress call Police as soon as possible,
- remove yourself from the residence/situation or lock yourself in a room until police arrival.
- Do not try to apprehend the suspects or try to regain possession of any of your belongings.

If they kicked down the door, how would locking yourself in a room help???
While I don’t want to get stabbed, I also don’t want to sit in a locked room while they rob me blind. I might as well help them load it in their truck then.

Again three cheers for the Mounties. Warn the victims and say nothing to the perps. A thousand years ago, the only shops such as pawn shops and maybe sometimes jewelers had bars on their windows. Now almost every one has bars. My how times have changed.
Well it is Ingledew St after all! thats like sayin we live in east L.A and are shocked there was a drive by shooting LOL!
Hoodies? Damn every crook wears a hoodie because they are hoods. :)
Perhaps it is a problem with hoodies? I know, lets outlaw those, or at least register them all. If the registry was located here, because after all, I thought of it, it would help our local economy. :)
if more people did what these people did there would be a lot less home invasions! Bet you these creeps think twice before they rob another home.
Pfft. They won’t think twice to rob again. You can’t beat stupid out of these two losers.
Talk about protecting the suspects. Description doesn’t mention if they’re male / female or 1 of each.
Arm yourself with a mace and try to take them down while their still inside and either totally maim then or even kill one,if their not suppose to be there you might not go to jail for that, but I`m not sure of that. The thing is if you injure a burglar outside your home I think they can charge you…don`t quote me on that though. And if they bring a knife you bring a machete.
Bear mace is the way to go. Spray the crap out of them, and kick the crap out of them when they’re onthe ground. A face full if bear mace, and about 5 solid kicks to the nads would help.
