Snow? Are You Kidding Me?
Prince George, BC.- The bad news is its snowing right now, but the good news is it should end by noon .
Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist says Prince George is experiencing the tail end of an upper low pressure system “It has come in from the Yukon, and some areas in the Yukon have received 10 – 15 centimetres of snow. Its just in its last legs.”
Lundquist says once this snow moves out of Prince George, a weak high pressure system will move into the region, returning the region to the average temperatures for this time of year, “We’re looking at a high of 16 tomorrow, then 20 on Sunday and 19 on Monday, which is average for this time of year. We should have a fair bit of sun with that high pressure.”
Lundquist says as of Tuesday, a cooler higher trough will move and the cooler temps will return, but he predicts the majority of the weekend will be pretty good.
