Prince George, BC – Fire fighters from three halls arrived to find a house fire fully involved with flame on the city’s west end last night…

Prince George Fire Rescue Assistant Chief, Denis Poulin, says 11 fire fighters began an exterior attack on the home on Weller Road, on the north side of Highway 16 West across from Marleau Road, and the fire was quickly knocked down.  However, Poulin says crews remained on-scene, mopping up through the night.

"This fire is classified as suspicious in nature," he says.  "The fire loss is estimated to be around $150-thousand dollars."

No one was home at the time the blaze broke out.  Fortunately, there were no injuries to fire personnel.

Investigators will be on-scene this morning.

wasn’t that house vacant due to ongoing developments in the are? Saved the developer some time and money in demolishing it.

Not much for landscaping, eh?
