Prince George, B.C.- A  Prince George man  is facing  several charges   following  a police investigation.

Last week, an investigator with the Prince George RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team spotted  a man he  beleived to be prohibited from driving in B.C,  behind the wheel of a vehicle near  20the Avenue and Juniper Street.

During the arrest, the male ran from the officer through an alley and into a neighbouring yard where the officer caught the suspect. According to  Police, the suspect resisted the arrest and engaged the officer into a struggle in which the officer was assaulted. As a result of this, the suspect gained momentary freedom and the addition of two Criminal charges.

A short time later, the suspect male was located by another officer exiting a yard approximately one block away. He was arrested without incident . and out of breath. Upon search of the male, a large sum of cash was found on his person.

Police Service Dog (PSD) ‘Baron’ and his handler were requested to attend the scene.   PSD ‘Baron’ tracked the path of the suspect to a cell phone and a significant quantity of both crack and powder cocaine located hidden in the same yard where the suspect was located.

The following Criminal charges have been approved against 28  year old Justin Edward Pawluck :

·         Driving While Prohibited

How much time and how many man hours are spent chasing these folks all around town every week? It must be very frustrating for the good guys to finally catch the bad guys and then we are unable to effectively deal with them. What a complete waste of time for everyone.

What are we doing to reduce the incidence of this type of crime? All of our resources are spent on dealing with the symptom. Nothing will change if we keep doing things the same way as we have in the past.(while expecting different results)

Does anyone have the wisdom or fortitude to deal with the problem?

One day in jail and eighteen months probation? Maybe I should set up a betting shop across the street from our courthouse.

Solution to the problem? Shoot him in the back and say it was self defense! It worked against Ian Bush and this officer has drugs and bruises as evidence. He’d win for sure. Problem solved.

I apologize for my crass comment but would like to have you folks note that this is a serious drug dealer who is not only dangerous but is a near legal murderer.

bring back the chain gang, a year or 2 of hard labour hand shovelling snow, digging ditches, etc should straighten him out, and solve some of the city’s problems…

Career criminals should become career prisoners. Does it cost money to keep them in jail? Sure. But it costs a lot of money in court time and police resources to have them in the revolving door system too. Not to mention property damage and theft in which the cost is directly on the public.

Lock them up and make them work for the province.

Yeah, because we all agree digging ditches is a great way to fix infrastructure along with hand shovelling snow. What are we in, 1967?

How about getting them to mow lawns in the city parks to make up for the slack caused by Mayor Green’s gang of thugs.

They could dig ditches, shovel snow, AND maintain the parks and boulevards.
Most people have to work for their keep. Why shouldn’t they?
We are not in 1967. We are in 2012, and the City appears to have run out of $$ to maintain everything, so why not have some able bodied folk from up in the hill chip in? The prisoners (might) learn some work ethics, and job skills, and the City could pull more crews off of parks, and onto road fixing.
Do you have a better idea?

I am absolutely shocked at the number of posters who expect these misguided and unfortunate people, some from broken homes even, to WORK for their keep. That just amazes me in this day and age. What if they got injured? Immediate release or they would sue the province for their injuries. See,they got all the angles covered to make THEM money not us low life taxpayers. As my wife would say, “Oh, me Nerves!”, that people would think these poor dears should work!.
Anyway, it would be nice to see the subject of this story sent down to Joe Arpaio, I think he’s in Arizona, runs a very nice prison camp, dresses the prisoners in pink, no tv, no air conditioning, ah, the good life……

“Do you have a better idea?”

How ’bout we bring back 1967?

If I was into having personal heroes, I think Sherriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County Arizona would be one of them. That man has the cojones to say and do what he thinks is right, and to heck with the softies who disagree. He is well aware that his methods earn him more than his share of enmity, but, as he always points out, the people keep re-electing him.
I guess the people like good results.

metalman.
