Reward Offered in Search of Missing North Vancouver Woman

Wednesday, June 13, 2012 @ 3:10 PM
North Vancouver, B.C. – It’s been over a year since Angeline Pete  has been seen by any of her family.   Today, her family and the Quatsino First Nations Band, announced there is a reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

Up  to $5,000 will be rewarded to anyone who provides information that leads to the location of Angeline. Chief Tom Nelson of the Quatsino First Nations Band, along with Angeline’s aunt and grandmother, made an emotional plea for the safe return of Angeline.

Angeline Pete was last seen on May 25, 2011, when she left her residence in North Vancouver. On August 08, 2011, Ms. Pete was first reported to the police as missing. Since then there have been three press releases providing the public with updates on potential whereabouts, including one which suggested she may have hitch-hiked north heading to Alberta.

Police have investigated over 100 tips on possible sightings of Ms. Pete, including conducting polygraph exams to rule out individuals as having any information concerning her whereabouts. The RCMP is hoping that, with the family’s cash reward, someone will come forward and provide the information needed to help solve this case.
Angeline Pete, as pictured, is last described as:
·        Aboriginal – 28 years old, height – 163 cm (5’4’) – weight – 68 kg (150 lbs)
·        Long dark hair (known to occasionally dye it), brown eyes and wears contacts
·        Has a tattoo of a butterfly on her chest

Any information that may assist investigators, can be forwarded to Corporal Gord Reid at 604-969-7515 or Corporal Mike Kokkoris at 604-969-7516 at the North Vancouver RCMP Detachment.
