Prince George, B.C. – The RCMP traffic services says  highway 16  east at the Yellowhead bridge   has been opened to single lane alternating traffic.

The highway is not expected to be fully reopened  until about  noon.

Earlier today, a single vehicle left the highway near the jail,  and plunged  more than 100 metres  down  the  embankment.  The  male driver of the vehicle is  said to have suffered severe injuries.
