Collision Closes Highway 16 East of Terrace

Terrace, B.C.- Highway 16 is closed east of Terrace at Flint Creek due to a serious collision.
The collision has involved a commercial lumber transport and a van. Emergency Health Services are transporting injured parties to the Mills Hospital. At this point, one person has believed to have sustained serious injures, however those injuries remain indeterminate.
The police investigators are currently examining the possibility that alcohol was a contributing factor.
Highway #16 is currently closed, as investigators examine the physical evidence and establish the direction of their investigation. The Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure has been advised and are providing flaggers at that location. At this time, it is unknown if a detour will be made available. Communication with the emergency personnel is limited, so details are not as forthcoming as might normally be expected.
