Pool to Reopen Tomorrow
Prince George, B.C. – The Four Seasons Pool will reopen tomorrow.
City of Prince George says the building has been deemed safe and this morning, reps from Northern Health were on site.
“A Northern Health water engineer and environmental health officer have assessed the situation at the Four Seasons Pool, and they support the City’s decision to reopen the facility,” said Dr. William Osei, northern interior medical health officer.
The pool was evacuated yesterday afternoon after noxious fumes were detected. The building was evacuated and 19 people were taken to Hospital to be checked for minor symptoms.
While the odour has disipated, maintenance staff are spending the rest of today to routinely clean the facility in preparation for tomorrow’s reopeing.

OK, so what caused the problem or is this another freedom of information item to apply for? Could it be called “protecting one’s backside”? Lets have the whole story.
This happened yesterday! Do you really think they’re going to release details that quickly??!!
And “protecing one’s backside” is actually protecting yours as well. The taxpayer pays any settlements and the early release of any information that is not 100% verified is just fodder for unscrupulous lawyers looking to cash in at your expense.
What happened Ben..Your paper has turned into a dud, nothing but press releases and overkill on the lame, avoidance won`t help the cause, they are done Ben, report some damn news, not selective giddy bullshit!
If you feel that you can get more of a story then Opinion250. Please feel free to fire away and when you get some results give us a note we will publish it.
You must think every time the phone rings that people sayâ Oh My God Itâs the Meisnersâ, we had better give them the whole story or do they say, perhaps, âsay nothingâ.
That may in fact be the reason that the Mayor and I might add 3 out of 4 of the past Mayors would not talk to us, do you suppose that was because we are too soft.
If you feel we are not getting the story you want, simple answer get it somewhere else.
5 years ago there was a chlorine leak. The next day the City reported it was caused by a faulty gasket, it was repaired, and the pool reopened quite quickly.

I suspect the cause of this incident may not have been as apparent, or there were some other circumstances which they need to think about how to release the cause without precipitating a law suit depending on how dangerous this incident was and could have been.
