Wednesday, July 18, 2012 @ 2:54 PM

Chetwynd- A 31 year old man has been charged with careless operation of a side by side in Chetwynd. The man was driving the side by side at a high rate of speed on a trail near the local baseball diamond when he became airborne landing on the ground and then colliding with a bunch of trees.

He was not wearing any safety equipment or a seat belt
.
He was transported to hospital in Tumbler ridge where he was treated for a broken pelvis and concussion and then handed a ticket for careless driving.

Oh thats right, Chetwynd citizens don’t pay taxes and must be transported to another city where their citizens do pay taxes and they have a hospital.

Chetwynd has as a hospital

But is the Chetwynd Hospital open for business?
Or is it suffering from the same problems as FS James, Burns Lake, and other B.C. towns.
Could be that the hospital staff were already busy and could not treat the careless rider right away.

A ticket?? Good grief, what a heartless unscrupulous bunch!

Yes it does have a hospital and when I lived there we didn’t have to travel to another town for medical help.

But I should add, it was the Pre Liberal era!

hey you misse the keyword….Airborne… He landed close to Tumbler Ridge

Wearing the seatbelt would likely have saved this twit from a broken pelvis.
I assume he struck the steering wheel with that part of his body as a result of his sudden deceleration. Will this injury affect his ability to reproduce do you think? One can hope.
