Highway 16 Accident Sends One to Hospital

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George RCMP say one person was injured in a single-vehicle accident east of the city Friday afternoon.
A police spokesman says a man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital of Northern BC with undetermined injuries after his car left Highway 16, about 50 kilometres east of Prince George, and went down an embankment. The man managed to get out of the vehicle before it caught fire and was destroyed.
Further details of the incident, which occurred around 3pm Friday, are not available.
