Tickled Pink Dessert Campaign Returns
Prince George, B.C. – Now through to October 16th, four local restaurants have made dessert an extra special treat.
Ric’s Grill, Nancy O’s, the White Goose Bistro and North 54, are all supporting the "Tickled Pink Desserts" campaign to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
Restaurants have either selected an existing dessert from their menu, or created a special pink dessert to promote during this fundraising period. For every one of the special desserts sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Nancy O’s owner, Garrett Fedorkiw, is no stranger to this program as this is the second year his restaurant has taken part "This is definitely a cause our restaurant is happy to support,” said Fedorkiw. “Cancer has impacted our staff in some way, shape or form. We hope our customers are keen to share our efforts for a great cause.”
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led national event in Canada in support of breast cancer. On September 30th, Prince George joins 58 other communities across the country in the fund raising event.
