Prince George, B.C. – An army of motorcycle enthusiasts donned the rain gear Sunday to take part in the Salvation Army’s 31st annual Toy Run.
Harley Davidson and the Harley Owners Group also come on board to help out with the ride, which supports Salvation Army Christmas campaigns. The participants bring toys for the kids, and T-shirt and food and coffee sales also go to support the Sally Ann. The toys collected go to help needy families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to put anything under the tree for their children.
The riders head out on an hour-long route which took them up Ospika to Tyner, along University Way back down to 15th and Foothills, all the way up Foothills to the Hart Highlands, over to the Hart Highway and back into town. The 100% volunteer effort involves riders from not only Prince George but other communities in the area as well. And it’s not just Harley owners who take part. There are plenty of other makes of bike in the run each year.
And this year the line of hundreds of motorcycles stretched out for a considerable distance, despite the rain, all in the name of helping some kids out at Christmas.

We all need a little good news. I think this is neat how all walks of life gets together and contribute for something bigger than they are.
