Prince George- Open fires are now permitted throughout the Prince George Fire Center. The province announced the move today citing a decrease in the risk of a wildfire.
In the meantime anyone lighting a category 3 fire must first obtain a burn registration number.
Campfires must be kept smaller than a half metre high by a half metre wide.
The rescinding of the order applies to all BC parks, crown lands and private lands but not apply to local municipalities.
