Thursday, December 13, 2012 @ 6:15 PM

Clearwater, B.C.- Current search efforts for Courtney Buck, along the Thompson River near Clearwater BC have been completed.  The exhaustive search efforts failed to turn up any sign of  Courtney who is now classified as missing and presumer drowned.

She was the passenger in the vehicle driven  by her  husband, Skye , when the vehicle went off the road,  down a steep embankment and into the Thompson River.  His body was  discovered in the vehicle  under about 12 feet of water.

The search included air search by the Southeast District RCMP Air Services helicopter, ground searches by RCMP and local Search and Rescues volunteers and Dept Fisheries and Oceans vessels on the water.

The Clearwater RCMP will continue to consult with local Search and Rescue technicians to assess further search efforts as river conditions and water levels change. The RCMP Air Services crews and Dept Fisheries and Oceans also remain aware and will conduct future patrols during the normal course of their duties in this area.

The Clearwater RCMP and BC Coroners Services are continuing their investigations and are providing support to the affected families and local community.
